Schulte, B. (2011). Hybrid schools for the igeneration. Education Digest: Essential Readings Condensed for Quick Review, 77(1), 22-26. Retrieved October 13, 2011 from EBSCO Host Academic Search Complete.

Author Brigid Schulte is a reporter for the Washington Post who was part of a team of writers that won the Pulitzer Prize for a piece on the Virginia Tech massacre. She writes about how society lives now in the present age and also writes about education. The author’s point of view in this piece shows that education is moving from brick-and-mortar to brick-and-click. An online curriculum allows children to work at their own level and not be taught by a teacher that is teaching to the middle of the class. Beginning and ending the article with Carpe Diem shows the author’s openness to hybrid school.
